Despite what this poll may or may not say about me, I am a seriously obsessed reader who is anxiously awaiting the return of my reading free-time! I will be finished with my Teaching Credential Program on December 9th (actually sooner than that in all likelihood) and I am longing for a return to my REAL life. I have a long list of books I want to read, crafts I want to craft, things I want to do around the house. Two years is a long time to put off living but that's what it feels like I've done here. So THANK GOODNESS for moving forward!

Meant to tell you that I did this quiz yesterday - it said I was an obsessive-compulsive bookworm! Not!

I love to read, but have trouble finding the time lately too.

Don't want to pop your bubble, but I think you may find that reading time is scarce even when you're the teacher. Unless you think of grading papers as reading!

I used to be a human book garbage disposal...I would read a book a week. But that was when I smoked, and I would fill the tub with hot water and bubbles and read and smoke until the water grew cold.
Now, I'm lucky to get through a book a month.

Last year, I taught 4th grade -- first year teaching, did a math tutoring program and an afterschool homework program and was going to school full-time myself. Add to that husband, kids, pets, house, garden . . . reading did not happen. Neither did crafting.

This year, I am teaching 1/2 time and doing the homework program two days a week (1 hour, after school). I'm finished with my credential program on 12/9. I know that I won't have endless time for reading but I'll have WAY more than I have had in the past twenty months, that's for sure!

I've slowly eeked back into reading for pleasure. And, I won't ever have the kind of time I to read that I did before kids but I'll find time.

And, I'll find time to craft again, too!

But, it wont' be easy! :)
