Camping!

Cozy Sleeping Quarters
Originally uploaded by egret's nest.
We took a much needed long weekend to go camping in our FMC. We met up with a bunch of other FMC owners and had a wonderful weekend. Here is our sleeping quarters. The kids' bunks pull down from the upper cabinets and they slept above us. It all worked beautifully but we'll be making some changes as time goes on.

The whole weekend was wonderful and much needed. Despite being less than 10 miles from home, we took it easy. No work. No stress. Both Greg and I needed that and had a great trip. The kids loved it and were disappointed to come home!

It's good to get away from the routine even if you're not far from home.

When I was a kid, we had a pop-up camper that my dad would set up in the driveway to *air out* before we used it. I always loved to play cards and sleep out there during the summertime. Camping in the driveway!

My daughter's favorite reading spot is already out in the motorhome -- just to get away from everyone! :) I would have loved it as a kid -- heck, I'd love it now! :)

My husband grew up camping -- I didn't but I love doing it. At least the way WE do it. I grew up (teenage years) going CAMPING -- with a backpack and hiking 20 miles before you got to sleep at night. Blech. Not for me!
